ABA BASED EDUCATION
In the past 30 years, several thousand published research journals have documented the effectiveness of ABA across a wide range of interventionists, populations, behaviors, and settings.
2:1 STAFF TO STUDENT
We are committed to ensuring every child gets the care and full attention they need in these critical years.
YEAR ROUND PROGRAM
St. Dominic Savio Academy believes that an integral component of a comprehensive program for children with autism includes a consistent, year-round school program.
TRADITIONAL SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT
A key component of the SDSA program is grouping students in settings that reflect a traditional classroom, while supporting students with ABA-trained instructional assistants
Our classrooms will maintain an organized and structured setting to promote the highest level of learning for each student. Students will complete all of their academic groups in the same classroom.
WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT US
Our son’s doctor recommended that we find an ABA program. She had heard good things about St. Dominic Savio Academy and she couldn't have been more right! The compassionate and highly trained staff have turned our sons life from surviving to thriving and have been an excellent support for us as parents.
Our family was looking for the right fit for our 8 years old son for a while. We have visited five or six schools and were not comfortable with any of them. Not until we found St. Dominic Savio Academy! From the very first time we visited the school we felt like our son was in wonderful hands of professionals specifically trained to work with children on the autistic spectrum. What I also appreciate is that there is open communication with his teacher. We can ask questions knowing that we will receive a professional answer. This school provides academic and social learning all together. The staff is making sure that the students are having fun while learning life skills. We will be able to go to field trips throughout the year, and parents are more than welcome to participate! What else can you ask for?
We chose SDSA because it offered absolutely everything we were looking for in a school. We wanted a year-round, ABA-based curriculum with low teacher:student ratios. When you add in knowledgeable, experienced teachers and staff who have passion, enthusiasm, and love for your child, it was an obvious choice to attend SDSA.
We love you ALL! Thank you, St. Dominic Savio Academy for all your hard work, dedication, and the love you have for my son. You are all wonderful and a blessing to our family.
I would like to thank the teachers that have dedicated their time to my son. HE has come a long way and I am grateful for your time and patience. He looks forward to coming to school every day with a big smile. To see how happy he is with his teachers and classmates shows how much love there is on both ends. Thank you very much.
The staff at St. Dominic Savio Academy is truly amazing!! They are experienced, knowledgeable, patient, loving and kind. They love what they do and it shows!! They really care about the kids and their main goal is to help each one succeed! The staff works as a team. They even have daily staff meetings before school starts to go over each child's progress, goals and specific needs. We love the communication between the parents and staff too. The school is a safe, clean, nurturing environment that gives the children a great learning experience. It really is like a big family! And we feel really lucky to be a part of it!!
We relocated our family from Washington for the sole purpose of giving our son the opportunity to attend SDSA. The move has been well worth it. SDSA is a blessing to our family.
I love the teachers and staff at SDSA and how they display a passion and love for what they do and how attentive they are to address areas of need for my child to help him improve while still having fun.
When asked, "Why did your family choose SDSA over other school choices?
What makes SDSA unique?," parents answered:
"We chose SDSA because it offered absolutely everything we were looking for in a school. We wanted a year-round, ABA-based curriculum with low teacher:student ratios. When you add in knowledgeable, experienced teachers and staff who have passion, enthusiasm, and love for your child, it was an obvious choice to attend SDSA."
"Great school, wonderful teachers and excellent program for [our son's] needs."
"When I came with my son to SDSA, he had just been through public school special needs class where he had nice teachers but no progress. We needed to find somewhere where they focused on helping kids with autism and this is the best one we came across."
Parents were asked, "What is the most important aspect of your child's education, and how does SDSA address it?" They responded with:
"The most important aspect is that the program is individualized and all-encompasing to address his academic, sensory, social, and functional needs. SDSA addresses all of these aspects to help improve his language and functional independence."
"Works and improved in areas such as speech, following directions, and completing tasks."
"[My son] came to SDSA with some issues like biting, pinching, and not a word coming out of his mouth and isolating himself from everybody. I feel that [his] teachers immediately targeted his problems and my concerns and I started to notice positive changes."
Parents comments about, "What do you love most about SDSA?," were:
"I love the teachers and staff at SDSA and how they display a passion and love for what they do and how attentive they are to address areas of need for my child to help him improve while still having fun."
"Everything is positive and educators enjoy their profession."
"I love the whole SDSA family and have to give them credit on how much [my son] has come along and has made positive changes - loving, caring, no biting, and has become very verbal and willing to want to communicate more."
Here are the responses to, "If there's anything else you'd like to include, please tell us!,"
"We relocated our family from Washington for the sole purpose of giving our son the opportunity to attend SDSA. The move has been well worth it. SDSA is a blessing to our family."
"When I drop my son off each morning, I know that my son is going to be safe and well taken care of. He has grown up with the SDSA family. Thank you very much."
